Pad Thai is amazing here! The art and atmosphere is very nice. Videos of street food in Thailand on the televisions gave a immersive and interesting experience.

Weird bitterness to my green papaya salad... everyone else in the office enjoyed their food though. Nicely priced lunch specials. Maybe just a fluke for me?
10/3/19 Some management "Paul H" started harassing me by direct message, first asking me to come back, then when I didn't do so quickly enough getting hostile. -

You shouldn't have to tell the restaurant they are serving rancid meat, yet when I bit in to my Pad Kee Mao with beef and tofu I wanted to throw up. The response from the waitress was that they just bought the meat, but after she went to the kitchen she agreed the meat smelled bad and they were going to take it back. Even if the meat was ok, the taste of the noodles and odd choice of vegetables signified that this place was not authentic. We also ordered the seafood pad thai, but when it came out it only had a few pieces of squid. The waitress literally sent it back and when she returned she proudly pointed out the additions. Literally it was one piece of scallop, shrimp, and a clam. The noodles were soggy and most of the plate was left behind when we left.
The Good
Ummmm
Some of the decorations were interesting
The soup was ok
The Bad
If that review didn't scare you, you must be very brave
Not authentic
The server was nice, but wasn't skilled in the art of customer service
The Verdict
Between hospital food from across the street and Thai farms, there is only one to literally die for. -

Sometimes, it's the hole-in-the-wall places that are the real gems. Add Thai Farms to the list.
I've had it on my list of places to try for a while but it's by Hartford Hospital and from the outside, it looks like nothing to speak of. Appearances can be deceiving. This place is the real deal.
You're here for the food. The decor is not memorable but it works well enough. Cozy. The service was helpful and fine.
The food was delicious; importantly, it had the right amount of hotness without being overwhelming. That let the food really shine.
My dining companion said we should try the fried whole fish. That's a big ask. (And, a bit of a price at $30 "Market Price"). And although it took 20 minutes or so, it was indeed a crispy whole fish! And what a fish. Tender and flavorful. The vegetables and sauce were delectable. There was plenty of "meat" on the bones. Loved this dish.
The Pad Dancing was similarly flavorful. And the basil fried rice had lots of chicken and vegetables to complement the rice.
Overall, a winner in all respects. I'll be back. -

Wish I hadn't waited so long to try Thai Farms! My husband and I had a late lunch here today and the food was excellent! We were excited to try several menu offerings that are less common on Thai restaurant menus in the area including the pumpkin curry and garlic duck. My husband really likes duck so he is always down with a place to have a duck dish. The garlic duck was perfectly cooked- just the right crispy-ness while still being juicy. The garlic sauce was a brown sauce with a mixture of garlic and black pepper. The menu said it came with broccoli but my husband was pleasantly surprised to have both broccoli and bok choy as a bed with the duck laid on top of it. Many places don't have Thai pumpkin but I love it so I was really happy to see it on the menu. If you've never tried it and like veggies, I suggest trying it! It has a lot of chicken in the dish so next time I might ask for a vegetarian only dish because I prefer mostly or all veggies.
Bottom line- if you're looking to eat some Thai in Hartford, definitely check this place out. Can't wait to go back!
